Second Baptist Church welcomes you to join in our Preschool and Children's Ministry!

Jesus referred to children as "little ones which believe in me" (Matthew 18:6) and commit us "to diligently teach them"  (Deutoronomy 6: 4-7).

Our children are precious and how brief the time that we have them in this impressionable, moldable stage of life!  It is such a joy for us to join you in providing your child with physical care and spiritual training that will build within him a love for Jesus, His word and His church.

Our primary goal is to provide a loving, clean and safe "haven" for our "wee ones" and to minister to them as they take their first steps with our Lord.

This Ministry is extended to any child, whether they are a member or prospect, and their family.

Preschool Department Information

Our ministry provides care for babies through three year olds during all scheduled church activities.  We have six staff care givers who will be present during all services except for our Extended Session (10:45 am).  This service will be staffed by our wonderful and loving volunteers.

Four year olds must attend Worship Services with their families.  Children's Church is provided for the 10:45 a.m. service.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m.  Each age group has their own class which will be led by the same dedicated teachers each week.

Other Activities for our 3's and 4's include:

Preschool Children's Choir (3 & 4 Year Olds)  6:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday evenings (September through May).    Children enjoy singing praise songs, hymns and participate in many fun musical activities.

Mission Friends  (3 & 4 Year Olds)  6:00 to 7:00 pm  on Wednesday Nights.     Children will enjoy learning about missions all over the world.

All of our teachers, care givers, directors and the preschool committee at Second Baptist Church want you and your "wee ones" to love being here with us in God's House.  Come Join Us !!!!
