Over the past three years, Second Baptist has experienced tremendous growth. Since we embarked on our first Journey of Faith campaign in 2001, THe Lord has added many new members to our congregation. With an average Sunday School attendance of of over 575 per week, we have had to relocate our youth to an off-site temporary location. Our worship attendence is bumping 900, our choir has outgrown their rehearsal space and our childern’s classes are overflowing. In order to continue to grow, we must provide the necessary space.
What are we building?
Through the Lord’s leadership, we were able to acquire the 19 acre site we now call home on Everett Boulevard. We set out on a course to construct a maximum facility in three phases. This new "Journey" is the second phase in the master plan to consist of a 1,021-seat sanctuary, and additional educationl wing and 485 new parking spaces, many of which will be located close to the building.
