In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

At Second Baptist, we strive to live out the Great Commission in which God commanded us to "Go." Here are a few of our latest mission opportunities at home and abroad.

Second Baptist Lamplighters Sunday School Class partners with The Fashion Network in providing meals for Ugandan orphans through Pennies for Posho. You can stop by The Fashion Network at any time and purchase beautiful handmade jewelry and other items. All proceeds go to Pennies for Posho! It only takes $9 to feed an orphan for a month.

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are ready to be picked up at the Welcome Center! Just decide what age range you will be packing for and the gender of the child, and you will be ready to pack your shoebox full of gifts for a precious child in need.

Lilly Burcham recently traveled to Uganda to work with Pennies for Posho. Below you will see a picture of Lilly with a child that has been previously sponsored by her family.

Randi Lynn McBride led a team from Second Baptist to El Salvador to work in orphanages showing God's love. They have been dancing, singing, laughing, loving, and praising Jesus with the amazing children of El Salvador.

Yearly, we have a team that heads out for a mission trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This outing is filled with plenty of labor intensive jobs, as well as backyard bible clubs and orphan care. Second Baptist also has a sponsorship program to help children that attend Inglesia Bautista Koinonia School. These are a few children that are sponsored by Second Baptist members.
